Join the supportive nursing team at Magnet Recognized Abbott Northwestern Hospital, providing whole-patient care to a diverse population in an inclusive, collaborative community. The professional nurse assesses and treats human responses to actual or potential health problems, establishes therapeutic relationships with patients and families, and leads and integrates care by planning, coordinating, and evaluating patient needs. Nurses primarily practice on hospital units, caring for acutely ill patients with a wide variety of medical issues and supporting recovery from surgery. This is a 0.9 FTE position, scheduled for 72 hours per two-week pay period, with permanent 12-hour night shifts and Weekend Schedule Program 12. The job posting describes three experience tiers: Tier 1, medical/surgical experience with at least one month on a progressive care unit; Tier 2, at least six months of acute inpatient hospital experience; and Tier 3, long-term care or transitional care unit experience, or a new graduate RN. The role may include supplemental Charge Nurse or Preceptor duties when acting in those roles. The listed pay range is $44.64 to $74.33 per hour; starting pay depends on factors including experience, education, and applicable union agreement. Shift, weekend, or other differentials may be available. Benefit eligibility and offerings are determined by FTE and union representation.
