About The Position

The Registered Nurse Med Surg Facility Float Pool position provides nursing care to patients at HCA HealthONE Swedish. The Registered Nurse demonstrates knowledge and skills relevant to the populations served and the specialized needs of each service. Care is based on each patient's physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and learning needs. Nurses may rotate to areas outside their assigned service areas and perform only duties for which they have demonstrated competency. The role performs delegated duties within the scope of practice and follows HCA HealthONE Swedish's philosophy and overall plan of care delivery. This is a facility float position at HCA HealthONE Swedish only; no travel is required. Typical units include Acute Rehab, Medical Acute Care, Med Tele, Surgical, Cardiology, Neuro Trauma, Ortho/Spine, Oncology, and Multi Trauma.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification and ACLS certification through AHA or ARC.
• Current Colorado Registered Nurse licensure or current active multistate nursing licensure.
• Graduate of a certified School of Nursing.
• Able to articulate and demonstrate appropriate nursing theory and practice.

Nice To Haves

• BSN strongly preferred.
• Two or more years of inpatient acute care RN experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care tailored to patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and learning needs.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and specialized skills required for the populations served.
• Rotate to service areas other than the assigned area as needed, performing only duties for which competency has been demonstrated.
• Perform delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and the facility's care-delivery plan.
