About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg Float Pool provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process. The role delivers safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures, using evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and skilled communication. The nurse leads efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum of care. This position is with Carolinas Medical Center’s Nursing Float Pool. The schedule is 7 a.m.–7 p.m., 36 hours per week, with weekend and holiday rotation. Carolinas Medical Center is Atrium Health’s flagship hospital, a Level I Trauma center, Magnet-designated, an approved transplant center, and an academic medical center teaching hospital.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
At least 6 months of experience as a Registered Nurse.
