Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg Float Pool
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Med/Surg Float Pool provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process. The role delivers safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures, using evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and skilled communication. The RN helps create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum of care. The position is based at Carolinas Medical Center, Atrium Health’s flagship hospital and the region’s only Level 1 Trauma center. The hospital is Magnet-designated, an approved transplant center, and an academic medical center teaching hospital.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- At least 6 months of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
- Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and skilled communication.
- Lead efforts to create a safe patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum of care.
- Perform other related duties as required.
