Registered Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse - Part Time 7a-3p/3p-11p
About The Position
The Registered Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing with the overall implementation, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care Services at the Community. The role includes supervising CNAs, administering medications, conducting skilled nursing assessments, providing treatments, and documenting skilled care. Nurses must be competent in foley catheters, PICC lines, feeding tubes, and wound care, and communicate proactively with residents, families, staff, physicians, and outside providers. The position is part-time, with shifts listed as 7 a.m.–3 p.m. and 3 p.m.–11 p.m. Starting rates are $40 per hour for LPNs and $43 per hour for RNs, with shift differentials of $1 to $6 per hour more.
Requirements
- Current RN or LPN license to practice in Massachusetts.
- Two years of full-time or full-time-equivalent clinical experience.
- Experience and/or a special interest working with older adults.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as pushing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.
- Good physical and emotional health and freedom from communicable diseases.
Responsibilities
- Supervise CNAs to ensure quality care is provided at all times.
- Administer medications, conduct skilled nursing assessments, and provide treatments.
- Demonstrate competency in foley catheters, PICC lines, feeding tubes, and wound care.
- Complete skilled care documentation.
- Communicate proactively with residents, families, staff, physicians, and outside providers.
- Assist the Director of Nursing with implementation, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care Services at the Community.
