About The Position

The Registered Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse assists the Director of Nursing with the overall implementation, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care Services at the Community. The role supervises CNAs, provides nursing care and documentation, and communicates with residents, families, staff, physicians, and outside providers. The position is full-time on the 11 p.m.–7 a.m. shift at Maplewood at Mayflower Place Skilled Nursing and Rehab. Starting rates are $40 per hour for LPNs and $43 per hour for RNs, with shift differentials of $1–$6 per hour.

Requirements

Currently licensed as an RN or LPN to practice in the State of Massachusetts.
Two years of full-time or full-time-equivalent clinical experience.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as pushing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.
Good physical and emotional health and freedom from communicable diseases.

Nice To Haves

Experience and/or a special interest in working with older adults.

Responsibilities

Supervise CNAs to ensure quality care is provided at all times.
Administer medication, conduct skilled nursing assessments, and provide treatments.
Demonstrate competency in foley catheters, PICC lines, feeding tubes, and wound care.
Complete skilled care documentation.
Communicate proactively with residents, families, staff, physicians, and outside providers.
Assist the Director of Nursing with the implementation, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care Services.
