About The Position

The Registered Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse assists the Director of Nursing with the overall implementation, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care Services at the Community. The role includes supervising nursing assistants, administering medication, conducting skilled nursing assessments, providing treatments, and documenting skilled care. The nurse communicates proactively with residents, families, staff, physicians, and outside providers. The listed schedule is full-time, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. The starting rate is $40 per hour for LPNs and $43 per hour for RNs, with shift differentials of $1 to $6 per hour more.

Requirements

Currently licensed as an RN or LPN to practice in Massachusetts.
Two years of full-time or full-time-equivalent clinical experience.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as pushing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, families, peers, and other staff members.
In good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases.
Must undergo pre-employment screening, including a background check, drug screening, and reference checks.

Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Nursing with implementation, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care Services.
Supervise C.N.A.s to ensure quality care is provided at all times.
Administer medication, conduct skilled nursing assessments, and provide treatments.
Perform care involving Foley catheters, PICC lines, feeding tubes, and wound care.
Document skilled care.
Communicate proactively with residents, families, staff, physicians, and outside providers.
