Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery PRN Nampa
About The Position
Saint Alphonsus is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to join the Birkeland Maternity Center in Nampa, Idaho. The Labor & Delivery Nurse provides evidence-based clinical care in a safe, respectful environment, working with a team to meet the needs of mothers and babies. Nurses provide Labor & Delivery and Postpartum care depending on patient census. Nurses in this role may be expected to work shifts in both the Boise and Nampa Family Maternity Units as needed. The center averages 100 deliveries each month and has 20 private LDRP suites, two operating rooms, and four Level II NICU beds for infants from 34 weeks to term. Typical shifts are 7 p.m.–7 a.m. or 7 a.m.–7 p.m. PRN employees are expected to cover at least three shifts per month and may take additional shifts as available and desired.
Requirements
- Prior nursing experience is desired, preferably in LDRP.
- Must have an RN license in Idaho before the hire date. Multistate license holders must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire.
- Must provide an Oregon RN license or proof of application for one within 90 days of hire.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification is required.
- ACLS and NRP certifications are required or must be obtained within six months of hire.
- PALS, STABLE, and NCC-EFM certifications are required or must be obtained within one year of hire.
- PRN employees must cover at least three shifts per month.
