About The Position

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in Interventional Radiology to join our team. This is a 13-week contract position with a start date of ASAP. The role involves providing care for patients undergoing various interventional radiology procedures, including CT guided biopsy, Fistulograms, GJ-tube placement, Lower extremity angiograms, nuclear med/stress tests, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and Y90 procedures. The position requires weekend coverage that varies based on staffing, and involves on-call duties, typically one night per week every other week, and one weekend call shift every 4-6 weeks. Pending licenses are accepted, but quick starts are preferred. Local travelers with permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this travel contract.

Requirements

1 year of Registered Nurse experience required.
3-5 years of ICU experience required.
BLS certification required.
ACLS certification required.
Must possess a pending or active RN license.
Ability to work varied shifts and provide weekend coverage.
Willingness to participate in on-call duties.
Local travelers with permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible.

Nice To Haves

Preferred 3-5 years of ICU Experience.
Preference for quick starts.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
Assist physicians during procedures such as CT guided biopsy, Fistulograms, GJ-tube placement, Lower extremity angiograms, nuclear med/stress tests, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and Y90 procedures.
Monitor patient vital signs and condition before, during, and after procedures.
Administer medications as prescribed.
Educate patients and families about procedures and post-procedure care.
Respond to call duties as scheduled, including nights and weekends.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
