About The Position

This is a position for an Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN) at Providence Mission Hospital. The role requires experience with EPIC, stroke care, and being on call. Candidates must live within a 30-minute radius of the hospital for stroke call, which involves 12 calls per 6-week period, including one weekend. The facility is an Acute Care Hospital with 488 total staffed beds. RNs wear Royal Blue scrubs, and OR scrubs are provided. Charting is done via Epic. Parking is free.

Requirements

• EPIC experience required.
• Stroke experience required.
• Must live within 30 miles of the hospital (local radius).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required.
• No first-time travelers accepted.
• ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications required.
• Must be on-call.
• Must be willing to float to like units.
• Pending licenses are not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the Interventional Radiology department.
• Be available for on-call duties, including stroke call.
• Live within a 30-minute radius of the hospital for stroke call.
• Fulfill 12 calls per 6-week period, including one weekend.
• Float between like units, potentially including Providence Mission Laguna.
• Adhere to a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Work a minimum of every other weekend, with potential to exceed this to meet unit needs.
• Use Epic for charting.
