The Registered Nurse in Inpatient Medicine is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for individual patients and their families, adhering to the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Hospital, and the patient service unit. This role involves effectively utilizing the nursing process, providing appropriate learning experiences to promote wellness and optimal quality of life for patients and families, and maintaining professional competence.

Requirements

  • Current Certification of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated culturally sensitive approach to nursing care
  • Demonstrated strong family centered care skills
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years pediatric experience or other appropriate combinations of education and experience, along with the demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position, may be considered in lieu of stated education and experience
  • Baccalaureate Degree of Nursing
  • Bilingual (English/ French)
