About The Position
CHEO is a global leader in pediatric health, serving over 500,000 children and youth annually. The Float Team nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for individual patients and families. This role offers an opportunity to develop a broad range of pediatric skills, as Float Team members may be assigned to cover "just in time" needs or longer-term vacancies throughout the hospital. The Float Team nurse practices according to the standards of practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario and in compliance with CHEO’s policies and procedures. Requirements
- Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Family-centered approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Vulnerable Sector Check
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Minimum two (2) years of pediatric experience
- Bilingualism (English/French)
