Registered Nurse ICU - Milford Regional 36 hours, Nights
About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the ICU plans, delivers, and manages direct patient care using the nursing process and adhering to nursing practice standards. The role involves managing care from admission through discharge, assessing patients, coordinating individualized care and discharge plans, and directing and evaluating nursing care in the assigned clinical setting. This is a 36-hour-per-week night position at Milford Regional, scheduled 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with every third weekend and every other holiday. The position is non-exempt and represented by the Massachusetts Nurses Association. A signing bonus may be available; eligibility is confirmed during the interview process. The listed hiring range is $37.75–$79.52 based on a 40-hour full-time schedule; compensation for reduced schedules is prorated and final offers vary according to scheduled hours, experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association within six months of hire or the first scheduled course offering, whichever is sooner; required in the ICU and other designated areas.
- Thorough knowledge of the discipline of nursing.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Use the nursing process to deliver and manage patient care from admission through discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments according to standard procedure.
- Develop and coordinate individualized plans of care, including discharge planning.
- Direct, supervise, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
- Delegate appropriately in accordance with job descriptions and competency levels.
