About The Position
Registered Nurse – Geriatric travel assignment available in Dunn, North Carolina. This is a 6-week contract with weekly pay ranging from $1,445 to $1,588. The position involves three 12-hour day shifts per week (7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.) in a long-term care nursing home setting. Orientation is provided on the first shift. There are no guaranteed hours for this assignment. The role requires working every other weekend.
Requirements
- Active Virginia RN license
- 12 months of recent RN experience in geriatric/long-term care
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.) and every other weekend
- Must be able to work in a long-term care setting
- Orientation and credentialing requirements to be completed prior to or during the first shift
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to geriatric residents in a long-term care setting, including assessments and care planning
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse effects, documenting according to policy
- Monitor residents for changes in condition; adjust care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and ensure proper medication administration records
- Support safety and comfort, including falls prevention and infection control practices; respond to emergencies within scope of practice
- Coordinate with licensed staff and nursing assistants to ensure efficient daily care delivery and resident comfort
