Registered Nurse - Field Assessor - Part-Time - Raleigh, NC
About The Position
LHC Group is hiring a part-time, PRN Registered Nurse Field Assessor in Raleigh, North Carolina. The role involves completing hands-off Long Term Care insurance assessments. Assessors gather claimant demographics, physician information, and a current medication list, and evaluate the claimant’s functional independence. The assessment also includes a brief cognitive screening and evaluation of the claimant’s ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs). The assessor uses a point-of-care web application on a laptop or tablet to document information in real time. LHC Group provides home health, hospice, long-term acute care, and community-based services. The organization describes its purpose as helping people and delivering patient-centered care at home. Requirements
- Current and unrestricted RN licensure in the state of practice.
- Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to function in any home situation regardless of the client’s age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
- Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment.
