Registered Nurse - Field Assessor - Part-Time -Northridge, CA
About The Position
LHC Group is hiring a part-time, PRN Registered Nurse Field Assessor in Northridge, California. The role conducts hands-off long-term care insurance assessments. Assessors collect claimant demographics, physician information, and current medication lists, and evaluate each claimant’s functional independence. The assessment also includes a brief cognitive screening and evaluation of the claimant’s ability to complete activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs). The ideal candidate is technologically savvy and can use a point-of-care web application on a laptop or tablet to document assessment information in real time. This position is not eligible for benefits. The posting also describes benefits and incentives that may be available subject to eligibility requirements. Candidates must pass a drug test before beginning employment.
Requirements
- Current and unrestricted RN licensure in the state of practice.
- Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, with access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to function in any home situation regardless of a client’s age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
- Pass a drug test before beginning employment.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of RN experience.

- Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.
