About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a Registered Nurse - Family Practice - Warrior Operational Medical Clinic (WOMC) working at Joint Base Andrews in Washington, D.C. This role involves providing care in a high-volume environment. Spectrum Healthcare Resources (SHR) was established in 1988 to deliver systems and processes designed to meet the unique needs of Military and VA Health Systems. SHR is a leading organization that provides physician and clinical staffing and management services to United States Military Treatment Facilities, VA clinics and other Federal Agencies through various contracting vehicles. A Joint Commission Health Care Staffing Services firm, SHR is the military staffing division of TeamHealth, a Nationwide organization that serves 850 civilian and military hospitals with a team of 9,600 affiliated health care professionals.

Requirements

• Associates Degree of Nursing
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (Any State)
• A minimum of 3 years’ full-time nursing experience is required
• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the last 3 calendar years in a primary care setting
• Must have direct hands-on experience in the last 3 years with computer operations, basic word processing, data entry, and use/maintenance of automated electronic medical records
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Highly organized, self-directed worker able to function in a high-volume environment without distractions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient level of experience with Microsoft Office applications and strong technical aptitude

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a Family Practice setting at the Warrior Operational Medical Clinic (WOMC) at Joint Base Andrews.
• Function effectively in a high-volume environment.
• Utilize computer operations, basic word processing, data entry, and automated electronic medical records.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
