About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse assignment in the Emergency Room (ER) at a 173-bed short-term acute-care hospital with outpatient services serving the Central Valley in Hanford, California. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a start date of 10/05/2026. The position offers guaranteed hours and a specific shift schedule.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California) or state of assignment.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
ACLS (American Heart Association) or ARC-ALS certification required.
Minimum of two years of recent ER or acute care nursing experience.
EPIC EMR experience required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Deliver direct nursing care for an assigned patient group according to established standards and the nursing process.
Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment.
Collect relevant data, analyze assessments, develop and implement a care plan, and evaluate progress toward outcomes.
Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide a safe, healing, humane environment; educate patients and family members as appropriate.
Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care; delegate tasks appropriately and coordinate duties of the care team.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
