About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse position for the Emergency Department in Austell, Georgia. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a start date of 10/05/2026. The role involves providing direct patient care in a busy hospital emergency department setting, working 12-hour night shifts.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (3x12)
Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Capacity to work in a high-acuity ED environment and adhere to standard nursing practice and patient safety protocols

Experience in emergency department or acute care settings preferred

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a busy ED, including triage, rapid assessment, monitoring, and ongoing reassessment of patients with diverse emergencies.
Administer medications, initiate appropriate interventions, perform procedures within scope, and monitor patient responses.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and execute individualized care plans; communicate with patients and families to explain care, expectations, and treatment plans.
Document care clearly and accurately in the electronic health record; ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to evidence-based practice.
Prioritize patient advocacy, quality, and patient and family education; participate in handoffs and shift-to-shift communication; contribute to ongoing performance improvement initiatives.
Uphold the nursing standards outlined by applicable professional practice acts and ethics codes; maintain competencies and participate in ongoing professional development.
