About The Position

This travel opportunity places you in an ER environment delivering coordinated nursing care in a coastal community. You will be working in a critical access hospital setting for a temporary assignment of 13 weeks. This role involves delivering direct patient care, monitoring patients, administering medications, triaging patients, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (state of practice) Required.
• BLS; ACLS; PALS; NRP required.
• STABLE certification Required.
• Ability to work in a travel assignment with variable shift patterns; strong critical thinking and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred
• minimum of 2 years ER/acute care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Monitor patients, administer medications and treatments per physician orders, and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Triage patients, prioritize care, and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely, safe treatment.
• Supervise and guide assigned nursing staff; delegate tasks as appropriate and maintain patient safety and infection control standards.
• Document care thoroughly, participate in discharge planning, and provide patient/family education.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff to ensure smooth care transitions and a safe environment.
