About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER) at a Short Term Acute Care Hospital in Lancaster, Ohio. The contract is for 13 weeks, starting on 08/24/2026, with guaranteed 36 hours per week, working three 12-hour day shifts. The role involves providing direct patient care, patient and family education, administering medications, implementing physician orders, collaborating with the healthcare team, and ensuring equipment availability.

Requirements

Valid, active RN license to practice in the State of Ohio.
Current CPR certification.
Associate degree in nursing.
Ability to work in an ER environment within a hospital setting.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree.
Previous nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient using the nursing process.
Provide education to patients and families from admission through discharge.
Administer medications and perform treatments accurately; implement physician orders as written; document the nursing process clearly.
Notify the physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status; collaborate with the healthcare team.
Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available; report malfunctions to the proper department.
Support and supervise co-workers as appropriate; delegate tasks according to role and patient needs.
