About The Position

This role is for a new graduate nurse in the Emergency Department Specialty Track (ED 101) at Glens Falls Hospital. The position is part of an ANCC-accredited Nurse Residency Program within a Magnet-recognized organization. The program is designed to support the transition from nursing school to professional practice by combining clinical orientation, specialized emergency nursing education, and ongoing mentorship throughout the first year. The residency begins with a Medical-Surgical unit rotation to build a foundation in acute care nursing before transitioning to the Emergency Department. In the ED, nurses will care for patients of all ages with a wide range of conditions and acuity levels, working with experienced preceptors and completing specialized training such as ACLS, PALS, and ED Nursing Fundamentals.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a Registered Professional Nursing Program.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred; new hires will be required to complete their BSN within 5 years of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a Medical-Surgical rotation.
