About The Position

Amedisys is hiring a full-time, day-shift Registered Nurse Clinical Manager for an adult home health, Medicare-certified service. The role organizes clinical operations for the care center and is responsible for patient-care quality and the clinical performance of nurses and aides. The manager oversees referrals and admissions, scheduling, payer verification and precertification, documentation, and staff training. They collaborate with clinicians on patient goals and plans of care, participate in on-call duties, and may provide direct patient care infrequently during emergencies.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Current RN license specific to the state(s) assigned.
• One year of clinical RN experience in home health or hospice.
• One year of RN management experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Recommend staff employment decisions to the director of operations, including hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, and status changes.
• Manage the overall quality of patient care and the clinical performance of nurses and aides.
• Organize clinical operations for the care center.
• Review service requests and determine patient eligibility and suitability for home care; coordinate referrals and admissions with intake.
• Oversee scheduling.
• Oversee payer verification and precertification requirements.
• Review staff documentation and ensure missing, incomplete, or untimely documentation issues are resolved.
• Assist clinicians in establishing immediate- and long-term patient goals, setting priorities, and developing plans of care.
• Regularly evaluate patient needs and collaborate with clinicians to revise plans of care as necessary.
• Provide direct patient care infrequently in emergencies, as needed.
• Participate in the on-call process.
• Assist with staff training to support quality care, compliance, and fiscal responsibility.
• Participate in investigating and resolving patient, family, and physician concerns.
