About The Position

Amedisys is hiring a full-time, day-shift Registered Nurse Clinical Manager for an adult home health, Medicare-certified care center. The position organizes clinical operations and is responsible for the overall quality of patient care and the clinical performance of nurses and aides. The manager works with intake and clinicians to coordinate referrals and admissions, determine patient eligibility for home care, and support patient care planning. The role may involve infrequent direct patient care during emergencies and participation in the on-call process.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Current RN license specific to the state(s) assigned for work.
• One year of clinical RN experience in home health or hospice.
• One year of RN management experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Recommend staff employment decisions to the director of operations, including hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or status changes.
• Oversee the overall quality of patient care and the clinical performance of nurses and aides.
• Organize clinical operations for the care center.
• Review service requests and determine patient eligibility and suitability for home care services.
• Work with intake to coordinate patient referrals and admissions.
• Oversee scheduling.
• Oversee payor verification and precertification requirements.
• Review staff documentation and ensure missing, incomplete, or untimely documentation issues are resolved.
• Assist clinicians in establishing immediate and long-term patient goals, setting priorities, and developing the Plan of Care.
• Regularly evaluate patient needs and collaborate with clinicians on necessary revisions to the Plan of Care.
• Provide direct patient care infrequently in emergencies, as needed.
• Participate in the on-call process.
• Assist with staff training to support quality care, compliance, and fiscal responsibility.
• Participate in investigating and resolving patient, family, and physician concerns.
