About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse Clinical Lead in the ICU department at Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh, WI. The position is full-time with rotating shifts. The Clinical Lead will be responsible for leading daily unit operations and shift planning, empowering and mentoring staff, managing patient care assignments, advocating for patients and families, and ensuring the care team has necessary resources.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

Lead daily unit operations and shift planning, exercising sound clinical judgment to balance patient dynamics, physician needs, and team resources for seamless shift delivery.
Empower and mentor nursing and support staff through direct oversight, education, and continuous feedback to foster an engaged, high-performing specialty care team.
Manage balanced, population-appropriate care assignments to ensure exceptional patient outcomes while meeting operational productivity goals.
Advocate for patients and families by proactively addressing care concerns through official channels to maintain high satisfaction and quality standards.
Equip the care team with essential materials and clinical resources, removing operational friction so nurses can focus on delivering direct, compassionate patient care.
