About The Position

This role involves leading the Nursing Shift Coordinator team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and meet daily clinical and operational objectives. The position requires coordinating nursing assignments based on patient acuity, staffing needs, physician priorities, and population-specific care requirements. The lead will also monitor nursing staff performance, provide education, and promote clinical quality, patient safety, compliance, and productivity standards. Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to resolve patient care concerns, coordinate resources, and support effective care delivery is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Accepted.
  • Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Accepted. Required if working in adult critical care setting.
  • Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Required if working in labor & delivery setting.
  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Required if working in labor & delivery setting.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Accepted. Required if working in pediatric critical care setting.
  • 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Charge nurse experience preferred
