About The Position

The Registered Nurse Clinic role is based at Saint Thomas Medical Partners in Nashville, Tennessee, and focuses on Cardiovascular Surgery. The nurse implements, monitors, and adapts patient care plans to meet individual needs; monitors patient conditions and communicates important updates to the care team; interprets and carries out physician and nursing orders; and leads discharge planning in collaboration with the care team to support a safe transition home.

Requirements

• Obtain BLS Provider certification within 1 month (30 days) of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
• Hold a Registered Nurse credential from the Tennessee Board of Nursing, or hold a current home-state license eligible for multistate license recognition in a compact state, before hire or job transfer.
• Have a diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or the required professional licensure at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and evolve patient care plans to meet individual patient needs.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate important updates to the care team in real time.
• Interpret and carry out physician and nursing orders accurately.
• Lead discharge planning from the beginning of care and collaborate with the care team to support a safe transition home.
