About The Position

The Registered Nurse Clinic role is in the Gastroenterology department at St. Vincent Medical Group in Indianapolis, Indiana. The position is PRN and day-shift. The nurse implements and monitors patient care plans, monitors and communicates patient condition, coordinates care across disciplines, carries out physician and nursing orders, and coordinates discharge planning with the healthcare team.

Requirements

Registered Nurse credential from the Indiana Board of Nursing, obtained before the hire or job transfer date; a valid state license is required for the state in which the associate works.
One of the following must be obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer: BLS Provider certification, or instructor certification specializing in Basic Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross credentials are accepted.
Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate the patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
