About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse – CCU travel assignment in Pennington, NJ. The assignment is for an 8-week contract with a start date of 08/24/2026. The role is a float pool assignment, meaning the nurse will have a primary unit but must be flexible to float to other units as needed within a hospital setting. The position requires strong critical care skills and the ability to adapt to varying patient needs.

Requirements

Active RN license in New Jersey or a compact license accepted for submission
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
2+ years of current ICU and MST experience
Cerner EMR experience preferred
Ability to work in a floating pool and cover multiple units as needed
Flexible to work around holes in the schedule; no block scheduling or special accommodations

Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care for critically ill adults in CCU/ICU, including monitoring hemodynamics and ventilator status; respond to clinical changes promptly
Perform ongoing assessments, administer medications and therapies, manage lines and tubes, and support life-sustaining interventions as ordered
Collaborate with physicians, bedside nurses, and ancillary teams; document care and patient status in Cerner EMR; ensure accurate and timely handoffs
Recognize and respond to emergencies, implement BLS and ACLS protocols, and uphold patient safety and infection control standards
Float to other units as needed; adjust priorities to ensure patient coverage and seamless transitions between units
Adhere to unit guidelines, hospital policies, and evidence-based practice while maintaining professional communication and teamwork
