About The Position
The Registered Nurse Care Coordinator guides patients through the healthcare system, helps them understand treatment plans, and coordinates care across multiple providers so patients receive timely care and can access resources that support their treatment. This is an individual-contributor clinical role involving patient care and interaction, with responsibility for coordinating care and applying specialized nursing knowledge. The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, an active Virginia Registered Nurse license, and AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
- At least 1 year of registered nursing experience.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS certification.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, travel frequently, and bend or stoop.
- Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills; attention to detail; and ability to write legibly.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull 20–50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- 3 years of related and relevant registered nursing experience.
- Specialty Board Certification.
