About The Position
The Antepartum RN provides specialized care for high-risk pregnant patients including preterm labor and pregnancy-related complications in a fast-paced acute care setting.
Requirements
- Active RN License – Required
- Minimum 2 years Antepartum experience – Required
- BLS, ACLS, NRP – Required
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification – Required
- Strong high-risk OB nursing experience – Required
- Ability to float across units and sister facilities – Required
- Must be comfortable with high-acuity obstetric care
Nice To Haves
- Prior travel experience – Highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Care for high-risk antepartum patients (preterm labor, PPROM, pre-eclampsia)
- Administer and monitor high-risk medications (Magnesium Sulfate, Insulin, Heparin)
- Monitor fetal and maternal status using Epic and Perigen systems
- Collaborate with OB physicians and care teams
- Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate as needed
- Provide patient education and emotional support
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Float to other units/sister campuses as required
- Adhere strictly to hospital protocols and timelines
