About The Position
A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Antepartum Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care for high-risk obstetric patients. This role involves managing complex maternal conditions, monitoring fetal well-being, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Antepartum nursing experience
- Prior travel experience strongly preferred
- Experience with EMR systems such as Epic and Perigen
- Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to float between units/facilities as required
- No block scheduling allowed
- Travelers must reside 50+ miles from assigned facility
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification
- All certifications must be active and current
Nice To Haves
- Prior travel experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with high-risk pregnancies
- Monitor and manage conditions such as preterm labor, PPROM, and pre-eclampsia
- Administer and monitor critical medications and drips including Magnesium Sulfate, Insulin, and Heparin
- Perform advanced fetal monitoring to assess maternal and fetal status
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Respond to scheduled on-call requirements (one 12-hour call shift per schedule)
- Float to other units or affiliated facilities as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems
