We are looking for a detail-oriented Anesthesia Nurse to join our team and assist our anesthesia staff, surgical team and patients. Anesthesia Nurses are responsible for assisting the anesthesiologist with venous access, induction and extubation, assisting with positioning of patients, medications, nerve blocks etc. The Anesthesia RNs are primarily focused on our pediatric population and will assist with adults as needed and when available. The anesthesia RNs are an integral part of the intraoperative team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of RN experience
  • Associates of Nursing (ASN)
  • Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities
