Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia

About The Position
This is a Registered Nurse position in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The unit is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and covers thoracic, orthopedic, neurology, vascular, urology, and general surgery cases. Higher acuity cases are handled on this unit. The unit is overseen by a Charge Nurse and Supervisor. There are holiday expectations, including working two major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and one minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the specialty.
- Required AHA ACLS certification.
- Required AHA BLS certification.
- NIHSS certification.
- Cerner experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit.
- Handle higher acuity cases.
- Work on holidays as required.
