About The Position
This is a Registered Nurse position in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The unit is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and covers a variety of cases including Thoracic, Orthopedic, Neurology, Vascular, Urology, and General surgery. This unit handles higher acuity cases and is overseen by a Charge Nurse and Supervisor. There are specific holiday expectations for this role.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the specialty.
- Required AHA ACLS & BLS certifications.
- NIHSS certification.
- Cerner experience.
- Must work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit.
- Handle higher acuity cases.
- Work on holidays as required (2 major and 1 minor holiday).
