Registered Medication Aide (RMA) / Med Tech – Assisted Living
About The Position
RoseWood Village at Hollymead is hiring Registered Medication Aides (RMAs/Med Techs) to support residents in its Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods in Charlottesville, Virginia. The role involves administering medications in accordance with Virginia regulations and community policies, documenting medication administration, monitoring residents, and supporting their daily needs. Aides work with nursing staff and caregivers and build relationships with residents and their families. The posting offers full-time, part-time, and PRN scheduling options. The listed full-time shift is 3:00 PM–11:00 PM; part-time shifts are 7:00 AM–3:00 PM and 3:00 PM–11:00 PM; PRN opportunities are available on all shifts. Pay is $19.00–$22.00 per hour based on experience. Walk-in interviews are offered Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Requirements
- Current Virginia Registered Medication Aide (RMA) certification.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to successfully complete required background screening.
Nice To Haves
- Assisted Living, Memory Care, or Long-Term Care experience.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with Virginia regulations and community policies.
- Maintain accurate medication records and documentation.
- Monitor residents and report changes in health or behavior.
- Assist residents with daily living activities as needed.
- Partner with nursing staff and caregivers to provide resident care.
- Build relationships with residents and their families.
