Medication Aide / Med Tech (RMA) – Assisted Living
About The Position
The Medication Aide / Med Tech provides resident care services in the Assisted Living area under the supervision of the Resident Care Director (RCD). The role includes assisting residents with self-administration of medication in accordance with state guidelines and scheduled duties, and helping maintain a positive physical and social environment. The aide supports residents’ dignity and well-being while contributing to continuity of care and resident satisfaction. The position is offered for full-time third shift and PRN shifts. The posting lists starting pay at $20.01 per hour, with higher pay based on experience. Walk-in interview days are Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess current Medication Training certification.
- Must have a positive criminal background screening.
- Must adhere to the company Drug Free Workplace policy.
- If licensed or certified as a CNA or Nursing Assistant, must be in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency.
- Must meet applicable state requirements for a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA), where required.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience with senior adults is highly preferred.
- CPR and first aid certification is preferred, or required where mandated by the state.
- Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with medications as allowed under state guidelines.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing bed linens, positioning, transferring, mobility, and incontinence care.
- Communicate daily with Resident Services associates to help ensure continuity of care and services.
- Participate in resident activities and lead activities as needed.
- Interact with residents, associates, and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Meet customer service standards and prioritize resident satisfaction.
- Perform other assigned job duties.
