About The Position

The Medication Assistant provides resident care services in the Assisted Living area, including assistance with self-administration of medication, under the supervision of the Resident Care Director (RCD). The role follows scheduled duties and helps maintain a positive physical and social environment. Medication Aides and Med Techs are sought for part-time openings at Spring Arbor Senior Living of Fredericksburg.

Available shifts are 1st shift, 6 AM–2 PM, and 2nd shift, 2 PM–10 PM. Pay is up to $23.90 per hour based on experience. Same Day Pay is available. Walk-in interviews are offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 AM–4 PM; no appointment is needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess current Medication Training certification.
• Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
• Associates are subject to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.
• If licensed or certified as a CNA or NA, must be in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience with senior adults is highly preferred.
• May be a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA), depending on state requirements.
• CPR and first aid certification preferred or as required by the State.
• Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with medications as allowed under state guidelines.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing bed linens, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Communicate daily with Resident Services associates to help maintain continuity of resident care and services.
• Participate in resident activities and lead activities as needed.
• Interact with residents, associates, and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Meet customer service standards in a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner, prioritizing resident satisfaction.
• Perform other assigned job duties.
