Medication Aide / Med Tech (RMA) – Assisted Living
About The Position
Spring Arbor Cottages of Fredericksburg is hiring a compassionate and dependable Medication Aide / Med Tech / RMA for its memory care community. The Medication Assistant provides resident care services, including assistance with self-administration of medication, under the supervision of the Resident Care Director (RCD). The role follows scheduled duties and helps maintain a positive physical and social environment. The position is based at 1804 Bragg Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22407, and is listed for the second shift, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. Starting pay is $20.01 per hour, with higher rates based on experience.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess current Medication Training certification.
- Must have a positive criminal background screening.
- Must adhere to the company Drug Free Workplace policy; associates are subject to it.
- A CNA or NA license or certification may be required depending on state requirements; if licensed or certified, the individual must be in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience with senior adults is highly preferred.
- Certification in CPR and first aid is preferred or may be required by the state.
- Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Approach residents, associates, and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Assist residents with medications as allowed under state guidelines.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing bed linens, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care.
- Communicate daily with Resident Services associates to support continuity of resident care and services.
- Participate in resident activities and lead activities as needed.
- Meet customer service standards in a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner, prioritizing resident satisfaction.
- Perform other assigned job duties.
