About The Position

The Medication Aide / Med Tech provides resident care services to residents in the Assisted Living area, including assistance with self-administration of medication. The position works under the supervision of the Resident Care Director (RCD), follows scheduled duties, and helps maintain a positive physical and social environment. This is a part-time role at Spring Arbor Senior Living of Fredericksburg, with first-shift hours of 6 AM–2 PM or second-shift hours of 2 PM–10 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess current Medication Training certification.
• Have a positive criminal background screening.
• Adhere to the Company's Drug Free Workplace policy; associates are subject to the policy.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience with senior adults is highly preferred.
• May be a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA), depending on State requirements; if licensed or certified, must be in good standing with the State licensing or certifying agency.
• Certification in CPR and first aid is preferred or may be required by the State.
• Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Approach encounters with residents, associates, and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Assist residents with medications as allowed under State guidelines.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing bed linens, positioning, transferring, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Communicate daily with Resident Services associates to support continuity of care and services.
• Participate in resident activities and lead activities as needed.
• Meet customer service standards in a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner, prioritizing resident satisfaction.
• Perform other assigned job duties.
