Medication Aide / Med Tech (RMA) – Assisted Living
About The Position
Spring Arbor of Salisbury is seeking a compassionate Medication Aide / Med Tech (RMA) to provide resident care services in the Assisted Living area under the supervision of the Resident Care Director (RCD). The role includes assisting residents with self-administration of medication in accordance with state guidelines and scheduled duties, supporting activities of daily living, and helping maintain a positive physical and social environment. The position emphasizes resident dignity, friendly service, teamwork, and continuity of care. Shifts available include 1st shift, 3rd shift, and PRN. Starting pay is $20.01 per hour, with higher pay based on experience. Walk-in interviews are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess current Medication Training certification.
- Must have a positive criminal background screening.
- Must adhere to the company's Drug Free Workplace policy; associates are subject to the policy.
- May be a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA), depending on state requirements; if licensed or certified, must be in good standing with the applicable state agency.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience with senior adults is highly preferred.
- CPR and first aid certification is preferred or may be required by the state.
- Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Approach residents, associates, and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Assist residents with medications as allowed under state guidelines.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing bed linens, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care.
- Maintain daily communication with Resident Services associates to ensure continuity of resident care and services.
- Participate in resident activities and lead activities as needed.
- Meet customer service standards in a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner, prioritizing resident satisfaction.
- Perform other assigned job duties.
