About The Position

DiningRD is actively seeking Registered Dietitians to complete quarterly onsite visits. The role involves food safety and sanitation audits, dining audits, and handling clinical referrals. Each community visit averages 4-6 hours per quarter, with potential hours up to 16 per quarter depending on candidate availability and the number of communities serviced. This is a consulting opportunity focused on improving the lives of seniors through high nutritional standards in long-term care dining programs. Requirements

  • Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials
  • Licensed (if required by State)
  • CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required)
  • State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required)
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner
  • Enjoy coaching and mentoring others

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of consulting experience

Responsibilities

  • Complete quarterly onsite visits.
  • Conduct food safety and sanitation audits.
  • Perform dining audits.
  • Handle clinical referrals.
  • Monitor the nutritional needs of residents.
  • Provide nutrition education.
  • Work on MDS with the clinical team.
  • Formulate nutrition assessments with input from the dining manager.
  • Provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Train and provide guidance to dining managers and staff.
  • Assist with policy development.
  • Monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.
