About The Position

DiningRD is actively seeking a Registered Dietitian/s to complete weekly onsite visits. The RD will be responsible for food safety and sanitation audits, dining audits and clinical referrals. This is a contract consultant position with an average of 24 hours per month. DiningRD has been nurturing joy through food with long-term care dining programs since 1994, providing comprehensive food and nutrition programs designed and supported by registered dietitians with extensive food service experience. They currently provide dietitian consulting and menu services to over 4,000 healthcare communities across 49 states. Requirements

  • Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials.
  • Licensed (if required by State).
  • CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required).
  • State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required).
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Enjoy coaching and mentoring others.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of consulting experience is preferred.
  • Experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required.
  • clinical nutrition: 2 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Complete weekly onsite visits.
  • Conduct food safety and sanitation audits.
  • Perform dining audits.
  • Handle clinical referrals.
  • Monitor the nutritional needs of residents.
  • Provide nutrition education.
  • Work on MDS with the team.
  • Formulate nutrition assessments.
  • Provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Train and provide guidance to dining managers and staff.
  • Assist with policy development.
  • Monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.
