Part-Time Registered Dietitian

About The Position

HHS is seeking a friendly, compassionate leader to join the culinary team at Bayhealth in Milford, Delaware. The Registered Dietitian guides patients, families, and facility staff on medical nutrition therapy, helping create a healthy and healing environment. The role builds relationships with physicians and nurses to support patient satisfaction and quality care that meets each patient’s nutritional needs. This is a part-time position of 24–28 hours per week, with a starting rate of $35 per hour, negotiable based on experience.

Requirements

Registered Dietitian credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration and dietitian licensure as required by state regulations.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition or a related field.
Knowledge of regulatory standards.
Computer experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and various software.
Ability to interact with individuals of all backgrounds.
Effective written, spoken, and non-verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Complete nutritional assessments and provide evidence-based interventions for inpatient and outpatient care.
Educate patients, families, nursing, food service, and other facility staff on nutritional needs.
Document patient assessments, nutritional goals, and interventions in the medical record.
Communicate patients’ nutritional status to physicians and clinical staff.
Manage physician orders for therapeutic diets and supplements.
Attend patient rounds and maintain clinical nutrition policies to support regulatory compliance.
