About The Position

Step Ahead ABA is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician for one client in Charlotte, North Carolina. The schedule is Monday-Friday afternoons, approximately 15 hours per week. This posting is for a single client case, meaning the hours and days specified are the actual hours, not a range. The exact session times for this case are Monday-Friday from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. A BCBA is already assigned to this client and covers this region, providing a treatment plan and a handoff before the first session. Current RBTs are given priority for new cases. The company's mission is to ensure every autistic child and their family has access to therapy, regardless of income, by supporting families on Medicaid across North Carolina. They focus on keeping plans open by providing a dedicated care manager and building schedules around the client's needs, family availability, and the RBT's availability, rather than corporate hour targets. The role involves delivering direct therapy (97153) based on a treatment plan and behavior intervention plan created by the BCBA. Supervision includes in-session QA and IOA checks, observation, and feedback. RBTs collect session data and submit notes. Non-billable time is paid at $10 per hour. The BCBAs and clinical directors have over 40 years of combined ABA experience.

Requirements

• Active RBT certification with the BACB.
• Prior ABA experience.
• Availability Mon–Fri afternoons, about 15 hours per week.
• Reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities
