About The Position

Step Ahead ABA is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for a single client case in Hickory, North Carolina. This position offers a consistent schedule of Monday-Friday mornings, approximately 23 hours per week. The exact session times are M/W/Th/F from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, and Tue from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. A BCBA is already assigned to the client and will provide a thorough handoff. Step Ahead ABA prioritizes internal RBTs for new cases. The company is dedicated to providing therapy to autistic children and their families, regardless of income, with a focus on supporting families on Medicaid in North Carolina. They ensure dedicated care managers and schedules tailored to the client's clinical needs, the family's availability, and the RBT's schedule, rather than corporate hour targets.

Requirements

• Active RBT certification with the BACB.
• Prior ABA experience.
• Availability Mon–Fri mornings, about 23 hours per week.
• Reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to stay active and engaged in session.

Nice To Haves

• Seeking BCBA supervision and a pathway to BCBA certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 97153 direct therapy according to a treatment plan and behavior intervention plan written by the BCBA.
• Collect session data and submit notes for work performed.
• Participate in real supervision, including QA and IOA checks in session, observation, and feedback.
• Work with a dedicated care manager and a schedule built around the client's clinical needs, family availability, and your own.
