The Regional Vice President of Pharmacy Services, in collaboration with the National Vice President of Pharmacy Services, will lead the design and implementation of pharmacy services, develop strategies for service improvement and clinical outcomes, and ensure the achievement of organizational goals and financial objectives. This role is critical for maintaining compliance with State Boards of Pharmacy regulations and ensuring all company certifications and accreditations are up-to-date.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science or Advanced Degree in Pharmacy required.
Current state Registered Pharmacy license.
Multi-state acute care health system experience required.
5+ years of management experience within a hospital environment required.
3+ years of acute care Pharmacy experience required.
Exceptional communication skills / professional presence with ability to lead and drive change on a national scale.

Nice To Haves

Doctor of Pharmacy Degree preferred.
MBA or advanced business degree preferred.
Residency preferred.

Responsibilities

Facilitate the design and implementation of the delivery of pharmacy services.
Develop and recommend strategies to improve services and clinical outcomes.
Ensure the achievement of established goals and satisfactory outcomes.
Contribute to the business plans and financial goals of the organization.
Ensure company compliance with State Boards of Pharmacy rules and regulations.
Maintain all company required certifications and accreditations.
Comply with Federal, State, and other regulatory agencies concerning medication management.
Demonstrate knowledge related to the management, dispensing, storage, selection, and procurement of medications, as well as safety practices.
Utilize knowledge of the design, build, testing, installation, and support of software applications for Epic Willow and other Pharmacy IT Systems (e.g., Pyxis).
Apply experience in strategic planning and execution.
Incorporate Prime Healthcare Management philosophies into operational plans and goals.
Actively pursue personal continuing education through various learning opportunities.
Create and oversee policies, procedures, and best practices for pharmacy operations.
Develop and maintain programs for auditing and inspecting pharmacies for performance and compliance.
Work closely with Pharmacy Directors to support business needs and maintain compliant operations with a focus on patient care.
Lead regularly scheduled Clinical and Operational meetings to disseminate information on regulations, training, and new drug therapies.
Monitor manufacturer requirements for participation in FDA programs, drug recall reporting, and other industry-related information.
Meet with and evaluate vendors to secure and maintain contracts, equipment, and supplies.
Serve as a consultant to all pharmacy directors within the system.
Manage and develop relationships with healthcare partners, including their executive, operations, and technology teams.
Design and implement future-state business workflows by analyzing needs and translating them into system designs.
Collaborate with various interdisciplinary teams to ensure the successful execution of initiatives, goals, strategic projects, and objectives.
Ensure new acquisitions are successfully onboarded into pharmacy services operations.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
