About The Position

The Regional Training & Readiness Manager supports operational excellence across multiple security sites by partnering with site leadership to develop teams, deliver consistent training, strengthen operational readiness, and maintain performance standards. The role is suited to a training, operations, or security leader who enjoys coaching others, solving operational challenges, and developing workforce readiness in fast-paced environments. This is a remote position, with candidates located in Iowa or Nebraska preferred, and requires travel of up to 50% to support business needs. The manager leads onboarding and training for newly hired Site Security Managers, supports Site Training Managers, and coaches site leaders through role transitions and ongoing development. The role conducts field-based competency evaluations and performance assessments; delivers remedial, specialized, and scenario-based training; and leads tabletop exercises, readiness assessments, and other operational readiness activities. It also provides temporary coverage for Site Training Manager vacancies, identifies training gaps with operational leadership, recommends corrective actions and improvements, mentors emerging leaders, and promotes consistent training and operational excellence across the region.

Requirements

Be authorized to work in the United States.
Have experience leading training, readiness, operations, security, military, law enforcement, emergency management, or related programs.
Demonstrate the ability to train, mentor, and develop frontline leaders and managers.
Have experience conducting field assessments, audits, evaluations, or operational reviews.
Have strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
Be able to travel extensively throughout the assigned region.
Be proficient with Microsoft Office and reporting tools.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting multi-site operations.
Background in security operations, critical infrastructure, mission-critical environments, or large-scale operational programs.
Experience conducting tabletop exercises, readiness drills, or emergency preparedness initiatives.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and train-the-trainer methodologies.

Responsibilities

Facilitate onboarding and training for newly hired Site Security Managers.
Support the onboarding and development of Site Training Managers across the region.
Coach, mentor, and guide site leaders through role transitions and ongoing development.
Reinforce training standards, operational procedures, and best practices across multiple locations.
Conduct field-based competency evaluations and performance assessments.
Deliver remedial, specialized, and scenario-based training programs to address operational needs.
Lead tabletop exercises and readiness assessments to strengthen site preparedness.
Plan, facilitate, and evaluate operational readiness exercises, assessments, and training activities to help sites meet performance, compliance, and security standards.
Provide temporary coverage for Site Training Manager vacancies when needed.
Partner with operational leadership to identify training gaps and implement corrective action plans.
Monitor training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvement opportunities.
Mentor emerging leaders and strengthen leadership bench strength across the region.
Promote consistent training execution and operational excellence standards.
Partner with site leadership to foster a culture of learning, accountability, and readiness.
Perform other duties as assigned.
