About The Position

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a senior security executive to serve as the regional lead for security risk management, life safety, and emergency response across a portfolio of approximately 10 assigned sites. This Associate Director provides strategic governance and consultative oversight to ensure the safety and resiliency of operations within a designated region. Reporting to the Director of Security and Risk Mitigation, the incumbent serves as the primary regional authority, standardizing security protocols while adapting to the unique headcount, operational hours, and functional requirements of each facility.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree and 10+ years of Military, Law Enforcement, Fire & Life Safety, Security, Site Risk Management, Intelligence, Cybersecurity or related experience; OR Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate’s degree and 14+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma or Military / Technical Training and 16+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and managing large-scale, protective programs in complex threat environments.
  • 5+ years of management experience or leading teams, ideally working within the Aerospace or Defense industry.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and managing corporate security programs, and developing SOPs and process documentation.
  • Active U.S. government issued Secret level security clearance OR the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Bachelor's degree in Security, Business Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
  • Certifications: ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP), ATAP Certified Threat Manager (CTM), ACFE Certified Fraud Examiner, ISACA Certified Information Security Manager accreditation, Physical Security Professional (PSP), or similar.
  • Project coordination experience with ability to coordinate across government officials, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Strong knowledge of integrated electronic security systems such as Access Control Systems (ACS), Closed-Circuit Surveillance (CSS/VSS), and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
  • Proven experience conducting security assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of federal regulations and industry security standards and framework.
  • Knowledge of emerging, threats, security technologies, and industry trends.
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools and principles (CORE/ACE, SixSigma).
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and interact across a matrix environment of executive leadership, suppliers, and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate security operations across the assigned region to ensure the proactive protection of high-value assets, proprietary information, and personnel.
  • Serve as the primary Behavioral Subject Matter Expert for the regional Threat Management Team (TMT), applying advanced human-factors analysis to workplace threat assessments and high-risk separations.
  • Conduct critical risk assessments and threat analysis within the assigned region to align security offerings with the broader business strategy.
  • Lead regional security for trade shows, special events, board meetings, and other executive services in alignment with established key employee security programs.
  • Oversee the security lifecycle for new facility construction and upgrades within the region, ensuring sites are hardened against emerging threat vectors.
  • Provide advisory oversight of local security budgets and manage regional Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure optimal vendor performance and resource allocation.
  • Manage complex, confidential investigative support efforts at the direction of the Office of General Counsel to limit exposure to regulatory liability.
  • Align with Business Resiliency and Crisis Management (BRCM) to standardize emergency management processes across the region and provide in-person leadership for large-scale events in coordination with local Site Incident Support Teams (SIST).
  • Regularly assess security interdependencies with multi-disciplinary partners to define alternative approaches that maintain a positive employee work experience while ensuring safety.
  • Build strategic relationships with law enforcement, intelligence bodies, and private-sector counterparts to maintain a 24/7 operational security posture.
  • Design customized security learning curricula and mentor site-level personnel to ensure the continuous maturation of regional expertise and succession planning.
  • Continuously monitor the regional landscape to anticipate and prioritize potential emerging risks and threat vectors.
