About The Position

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for ensuring market share in their assigned area through recruiting and training qualified distributors. This role involves extensive travel to meet with distributors, assisting them in developing their sales, service, and parts departments, and maintaining technical knowledge of the product line. The manager must be proficient in selling, operating, and identifying equipment, recommending the appropriate solutions for various situations, and effectively communicating product benefits and features against competitors. A key aspect of the role is developing consultant-oriented relationships with all customers and managing an annual sales and expense budget for the assigned area.

Requirements

  • Three plus years of successful industrial sales experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university

Responsibilities

  • Carry demo equipment (always including accessories and detergents) on vehicles.
  • Ensure market share in area through recruiting and training qualified distributors.
  • Travel and meet with distributors at their location(s).
  • Assist distributors in the development of their sales, service and parts departments.
  • Keep technically up to date about the line.
  • Sell, operate, and identify equipment and recommend the right equipment for different situations.
  • Teach the benefits and features of our product line versus the competition.
  • Develop a consultant-oriented relationship with all customers serviced in assigned area.
  • Manage an annual sales and expense budget for assigned area.
